  • Hujan – Hiba

    Lirik

    Yeh yeh… oh hiba

    Memang waktu ini kaulah temanku
Memang hidup apa-apa ajal yang kau temu
    Memang tuhan sayang kamu
    Ku tatap gambar wajahmu

    Harus ku teruskan hidup
    Walaupun perit tanpa mu
Akan ku peluk erat memori kau dan aku

    Harus ku teruskan hidup
    Walaupun perit tanpa mu
Ku doakan agar engkau sentiasa bahagia disana

KUALA LUMPUR: If you download material illegally from the Internet, be prepared to fork out a minimum fine of RM250,000.

This is the warning from the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry to Malaysians who continue to illegally download songs, videos and the like.

Although this penalty was legislated more than 10 years ago under the Copyright Act, it has yet to be fully enforced.

This was because the Government was still focusing on “physical enforcement”, encompassing continuous efforts to weed out pirated DVDs, VCDs and CDs sold on the streets and their operators.

Deputy Minister Datuk S. Veerasingam said yesterday that while this remains their main priority, cracking down on Internet download offenders was also gaining momentum.

“For the past three years, we have seen a significant reduction in copyright pirates. This is due to the continuous efforts of our enforcement officers.

“We will also very soon make Internet download offenders our priority,” he said.

Veerasingam was speaking to reporters after opening the Wipo Asia-Pacific Regional Seminar on the Issues and Recent Developments of the Wipo Copyright Treaty and the Wipo Performances and Phonograms Treaty on behalf of the minister.

More than 75 participants from 11 countries are taking part in the three-day seminar.

Veerasingam said that the maximum fine for downloading material illegally from the Internet was a whopping RM500,000.

    Lirik

Relaku menunggumu seribu tahun lama lagi
Tapi benarkah hidup aku akan selama ini
Biar berputar ke arah selatan ku tak putus harapan
    Sedia setia

Relaku mengejarmu seribu batu jauh lagi
Tapi benarkah kaki ku-kan tahan sepanjang jalan ini
Biar membisu burung bersiulan terlelah gelombang lautan
    Ku masih setia

    Adakah engkau tahu… ini cinta
Adakah engkau pasti… ini untuk selama-lamanya

Relaku menunggumu seribu tahun lama lagi
Tapi benarkah hidup aku akan selama ini… yeah…
Biar berputar utara selatan ku tak putus harapan
    Sedia setia

    Jangan putus harapan… sedia setia……

    “Kelip-kelip disangka api,
    Kalau api mana puntungnya?,
    Hilang ghaib di sangka mati,
    Kalau mati mana kuburnya?

  • Meet Uncle Hussain

    Meet Uncle Hussain

    Siapa Mereka?
Meet Uncle Hussain (MUH) is a peculiar name for a band that plays indie rock. Taja, the co-founder of the band, tells me the story behind their name. “We wanted a name that was unique and that representative of our own sound, something catchy that people would remember. And Hussain was the best. If it was Meet Uncle Patrick or Ramli, it wouldn’t work.”

Truly, MUH’s music is at par with their unusual name. The band sings in Malay, but refuse to be pigeonholed into one of those bands who sing sappy rock ballads. Drawing influences from upbeat bands like Hot Hot Heat, Franz Ferdinand to mellower bands like Doves and Radiohead, MUH’s sound is radio friendly and very hard to dislike.

Formed in 2001, MUH consist of vocalists/guitarists Lan and Taja, bassist A-Fatt, and drummer Kudux. Over the years, the band underwent various music genres before they found their niche making melodic indie rock. And now the band’s music has been picked up to be the theme of KAMI The Series.

Landing the gig in KAMI is probably the best thing that’s happened to MUH, and Taja says, “We’ve been very pleased that our songs, ‘Lagu Untukmu’ and ‘La La La Kerjalah’ were picked as the theme song for KAMI, and appear on the compilation album. I believe that if you do something you love truly from the inside, good things will come to you. Presenting ourselves in our music has given us a lot of satisfaction.”

With KAMI The Series already hitting TV screens, ‘Lagu Untukmu’ seems to be doing a great job helping the band get their name out to the masses. The band seems to have plenty more in store for fans in the near future. The band has finished recording their debut album and is looking at releasing it by the end of this year, so tune in to this space for updates.
